Single-charge card makes occasional use of public transport even easier and more economical than before. The new tickets available on single-charge cards also offer more choice and flexibility for those with short term travel needs.

The tickets available on single-charge cards include day tickets for 1-7 days, 2-hour tickets and 12-hour tickets valid on the Suomenlinna ferry. Single-charge cards are available from most of the locations selling public transport tickets so that you can purchase your ticket conveniently in advance. Single-charge cards are not personal which means they can be used by any person holding the card. These cards are available separately for adults and children (7-16 years).

An easy to use alternative

Show the single-charge card to the card reader when boarding a vehicle or entering the metro.
The area of validity is registered on the card at the moment of purchase and thus, you only need to show the card to the reader without pressing any of the buttons. If your ticket is valid, the card reader emits an audible and a green light appears. The ticket is valid from the time it is first used. To check the expiry time of your ticket, hold the card on the reading area of the card reader.

Ticket types

1-7 day tickets

A day ticket is handy if you need to make several journeys during one day or several days. You can choose the number of days for your ticket from 1 to 7 days. The ticket is valid from the time it is first used, including during the night fare hours. You can choose a Helsinki internal ticket or a regional ticket valid in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa.

Suomenlinna ticket (12 hours)

If you want to spend a day in the Suomenlinna sea fortress, this is the ticket for you. The ticket is valid for 12 hours from the time it is first used. It is valid only on the ferry to Suomenlinna and it does not include a right to transfer to other public transport modes.

2-hour ticket

If you plan to make several journeys within two hours, get a two-hour ticket. You can purchase internal tickets for Helsinki, Espoo or Vantaa, as well as regional tickets. The ticket is valid for two hours from the time it is first used, including during the night fare hours.

Uusi matkakortti -kampanjan syksyn 2009 arvonta

YTV (Pääkaupunkiseudun yhteistyövaltuuskunta) ja HKL järjestävät kilpailun, jonka pääpalkintona arvotaan 1 kpl 365 päivää voimassa oleva kausilataus (arvo korkeintaan 1297, 20 €). Kausi ladataan matkakortille. Jos voittajalla ei ole matkakorttia, YTV lahjoittaa hänelle sellaisen (arvo 9€). Lisäksi kilpailuun osallistuneiden kesken arvotaan 3 kappaletta 30 päivän kausilatauksia (arvo korkeintaan 118 euroa / kpl). Palkintoja ei voi muuttaa rahaksi.

Arvonnassa ovat mukana kaikki 22.12.2009 mennessä kilpailuun osallistuneet. Arvonta suoritetaan 23.12.2009. Voittajille ilmoitetaan henkilökohtaisesti. Voittajien nimet julkaistaan myös matkakortti.net-sivustolla. YTV:n ja HKL:n henkilökunta perheineen eivät voi osallistua arvontaan.

PRIZE DRAW RULES

New Travel Card Campaign Prize Draw, Autumn 2009

YTV (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council) and HKL (Helsinki City Transport) run a competition whose first prize is a period ticket valid for 365 days (worth max. € 1297.20). The period ticket will be loaded on a Travel Card. If the winner does not have a Travel Card, YTV will supply it (worth € 9). In addition, 3 other winners will be drawn to receive 30 day period tickets (worth max. € 118 a piece). The prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.

he winners will be drawn at random from all entries received by 22 December 2009. The prize draw will be conducted on 23 December 2009. The winners will be notified in person. The names of the winners will also be published at matkakortti.net. The competition is not open to YTV and HKL staff members and their immediate families.

REGLER FÖR UTLOTTNINGEN

Utlottning inom kampanjen för det nya resekortet hösten 2009

SAD (Huvudstadsregionens samarbetsdelegation) och HST ordnar en tävling där huvudvinsten som utlottas är 1 st. periodladdning med en giltighetsperiod på 365 dagar (värde högst 1 297,20 €). Perioden laddas på resekortet. Om vinnaren inte har något resekort kommer SAD att ge honom/henne ett kort (värde 9 €). Bland tävlingsdeltagarna utlottas dessutom 3 st. 30-dagars periodladdningar (värde högst 118 €/st.). Priserna kan inte omvandlas till pengar.

Alla som har deltagit i tävlingen före den 22.12.2009 är med i utlottningen. Dragningen genomförs den 23.12.2009. Vinnarna informeras personligen. Vinnarnas namn publiceras också på webbplatsen matkakortti.net. SAD:s och HST:s personal och deras familjemedlemmar kan inte delta i utlottningen.
